What We Are
Pallavan Uchtar Prathmik Vidhyalaya is a School managed by the Usha Nath Kapur Foundation, a family foundation of Mr. Arun Kapur, Director Vasant Valley School, New Delhi. Pallavan schools were initially set up in 2001 in Delhi and Gurgaon as an early childhood development programme for children between the ages of 1.5 and 5 years. With a mission to foster quality education in Jhalawar, Pallavan School was set up in 2008 for classes K – VI. As a result of a very enthusiastic response from the parents in Jhalawar and adjoining areas, beginning from 2010 two classes were added each year and now it has become a complete K-12 co-ed school. The mission of the school is to create an environment where children will be able to discover the genius within themselves. It is Pallavan’ s endeavour to motivate each child by helping them learn the right skills and abilities and also to give them ample opportunities to display these skills. The school is affiliated to CBSE and provides a balanced, forward-looking curriculum and encourages all students to reach their full potential. We also seek to build a dynamic learning community consistent with and responsive to the needs, interest and aspirations of the residents of the area and teach young people to function responsibly and successfully in a rapidly changing world.
The Pallavan Philosophy
- At the core of the Pallavan philosophy is the belief that each child is unique and has different needs which are to be catered.
- Pallavan aims to create an environment where children are able to discover the genius within themselves.
- It is our endeavour to motivate each child by helping them learn the right skills and abilities and to blend traditional wisdom with alternative teaching methodologies.
- This belief finds expression in every aspect of the Pallavan programme.
